What a relief and hope they get it right! Nothing like LHR please which (for me) is simply horrible. AJ is right about the pre-flight experience, and for some folks (I fly >120 x per year) that means some space, some quiet and a light meal.

Yep, LAX is usually v good. I was there this week en route to NY, and it was excellent. Started my trip in BNE - and left the lounge immediately as it was heaving and horrible. Much more pleasant in the main terminal.

As a P1 flier, I now avoid QF lounges at all opportunity except Sydney Int. Brisbane Int, LHR, SG are all (in my view and experience, packed and unpleasant). I fly >120 times a year, and instead of the lounge being a respite / positive part of the experience, I now avoid and minimise at all op...

So, I wonder if it makes sense to close my existing Amex card, issued by Amex, because I am ineligible for offers like this? It is a 100% better than the old lounge, but it is also disappointing to me too. Mainly, for me, because I find it always packed out. I also agree re London - to me, it is horrible. Sterile and old, and I go past in onto BA First of Cathay.

Folks, so I have just had in writing from QF that the cabin crew EBA states that they can fly in Business Class when on active duty. So there we have it - cabin crew trump everyone else ..... worth knowing .... now I wonder whether this applies in Virgin ..... I think I will try and find out, as ...
