    If you are travelling between Fukuoka/Hakata and Osaka, it is best to reserve your seat on the 'Rail Star'. As this train has no First Class, the reserved seats are a larger and more comfortable 2 - 2 instead of the 2 - 3 that you get in ordinary seats.

    According to the AF website, the new J seats are on the SIN - CDG route as well as flights from HKG and CAN. But that does rule out the (unlikely) possibility that AF could deploy a 77W with the old seats.

    I reckon JAL will keep 2-4-2 as its focusing on more room in Y. Their latest Y has 34' pitch and 18.5' width.

    JAL are 'upgrading' their SYD-NRT service to the 787 in December. It is an upgrade for Y thanks to the 2-4-2 cabin and the improved in-fight entertainment. But Y+ gets the chop and J is the non-flat bed Shell Flat Neo. Here is the Ausbt take on the JL 787: http://www.ausbt.com.au/japan-...

    I’m planning to fly from Brisbane to Beijing in Business Class later in the year. Which airline would be the best, both cost and product wise? I’m not too keen in connecting in Guangzhou or Shanghai, as this will be my first trip into China.
