Been searching classic rewards and found that well so often if you do not have direct flight to your destination from your city (yea, I am in Melbourne), but have it from Sydney then QF put Classic Reward fare only to connecting JQ flights while all connecting QF flights attract Classic Scam fare that is 3-4 times higher. And yes, Classic Award seats available from Sydney as well as between Melbourne and Sydney! Classic Scam at its best. So get commercial domestic ticket or buy it on separate itinerary. Shame to QF!

If MEL-SYD, and SYD-Onwards are both available on Classic Rewards, why don’t you book it as multi-city? If that doesn’t show on the multi-city mechanism, ring the call centre and do it with the service fee waived.

There are continuous and huge discrepancies between multi-city and ordinary view. Moreover if you jump from date to date in ordinary view then availability changes also. You may click on certain date in ordinary view that says that seats available and system says that they not available or you can see that classic reward available and once you click you can see only Classic Scam or system kick you out altogether and this list is endless. I absolutely and totally convinced that all those "hiccups" actually part of design to make it difficult and unpleasant to search any Classic Reward seats. If such things happens then I simply buy SYD-WHATEVER and later either have domestic Classic Rewards or get commercial ticket. I do not feel that calling center will solve anything. Surely it will kill one hour of my life. Or even more.

Agreed. Very disillusioned with classic rewards now. And can align with the buggy website (or with my well founded cynical hat on, the scam website). It's terrible the way you see results on different days, select it and only have classic plus available. And then the experience to book return flights one way on classic rewards - you bounce between EU and UK and USA trying to find ways home, and lose the selected pax qty when switching continents, and have to agree to the stupid "you will be charged in x currency" window before it searches. Such retarded user experience. Either bad designers OR (cynical hat on again) well designed to make it hard...

Are you familiar with the expression "Can't see the wood for the trees"?

It's about people who are so oddly fixated on one small detail (i.e. grammatical errors) that they completely miss the far more important bigger picture (i.e. an airline treating its customers badly).

Just asking, that's all....
