Has QF started the refurbishment of their 737-800s yet?

I heard in December last year Qantas where going to refurbish all their 737-800s starting mid-2015 with the new Boeing Sky Interior and AVOD, does anyone know if this has started yet or are they still waiting for it?

You occasionally get a refurbished one on Mel-Syd and Mel-Cbr, about a 20% strike rate in my exerience.

Interested why the negative votes on this? Am I missing something?

I imagine it's because those aren't the refurbished aircraft as the refurbs haven't started yet (and the refurb isn't to add Boeing Sky Interior or AVOD) – those are certainly the newer aircraft, although the upcoming refurb is to add extra seats in economy and wireless inflight entertainment on the older aircraft.

Older aircraft won't get the seatback TV screens or BSI. :)

The refurb begins in July as far as I know. I don't think they are getting BSI (or at least not retrofitting it), but the aircraft without seatback IFE will be getting the streaming solution. Apart from that, an extra row of seats, and a cabin refresh...

Had one of the new ones out of Cairns a month back. Very slick and comfortable leather business class seats, good entertainment and top notch crew. Two weeks later flew on old business class out of MEL. No individual DVDs, cloth seats and less than stellar meal service.
