Also given your frequent travel to Singapore, if you align with QF and have gold it will make points upgrades easier to get. Especially a few cheeky first upgrades with the A380 next year!

SQ upgrades for PPS are virtually non-existent, let alone Gold.

Ok, interesting point. I have found I can get instant upgrades with Singapore when I apply online, whereas I hear QF make you wait until closer to the flight for confirmation?

I travel enough AU to Asia to be both PPS on SQ and Platinum on QF and without a doubt QF FF is the better program all round and QF treat status members much better IMO.

Ok, great feedback, just the type of thing I need. Overall I would definitely say QF is getting more positive confirmations out of the 2 so far.

I am PPS with SQ and would suggest that QF has the better offering, definitely for lounge and on board catering etc.

In my opinion SQ has really dropped the service levels and F&B quality in the past few years and are generally losing the market to other airlines.

The food in the SQ lounges is woeful and whilst they rotate menus they actually have not changed for many years. QF I think sees lounges etc as part of the customer experiences and regularly update is FF with updates and new menus, SQ never.
