Perhaps try Singapore Airlines if Qantas doesn't retain your status? Possibly better to have the option of SQ and Star Alliance and leaves you with the choice to use One World due to your LTG with QF.

I was 140 away, and two days after my year anniversary I would of made it. Explained I couldn't fly for 4 months due to and ACL surgery which ended up with Deep Vein Thrombosis and had notes mentioning this.
