Has anyone had experience with the new business class on China Airlines?

We are flying SYD-TPE-LGW then FCO-TPE-SYD for our honeymoon on the new a350.

I couldn't pass up the return business to Europe for 2 of us at $7,777, although I'm unsure now.

I've only flown with SQ, QF and VA business before so not sure what to expect from food, service or lounges.

Any feedback is welcome.

I’ve only flown with them in medium-haul on the A350 in J but the seats are very comfortable and stylish, they’re similar to the Qatar J seats on the A380/B789. The service is also very attentive and the food was quite good from what I remember.

In terms of lounges, the TPE CI lounge was quite good for a business class lounge, with a noodle bar and some buffet options.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately I'm yet to fly with Qatar in business and haven't used a gulf carrier in years due to great connections from SQ. Glad to see you were pleased with their offering as they don't seem to be a popular option from what I've gathered.

If they do sales similar to this one I'm sure that'll change.

Their new business class looks quite awesome;

the reviews on travel websites are really positive.
I would love to try it myself at some point.

I do wonder if some of the reviews mistake China Airlines with Air China and vice versa, the latter of which I have nothing positive to say..

I've flown Taipei-Sydney on a CI A350 BusClass. Seats recline very well, it's a quiet aircraft, nice wide screen TVs, complementary and useful toiletries case, food much the same as other CI BusClass flights, cabin crew very accommodating and a step above other CI flights. Almost like CI is showcasing the A350 especially for Taipei-Sydney leg. One of the nicer BusClass I've ever flown.

Flown China Airlines business on the A350 and it is very good, highly recommended. The lounge in Taipei is good not great but the service on board in business class is very good. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed and for the money looks like a great deal.

They also serve premium champagne that is normally served in first class. The last I read was they are serving Pol Rogers.

I flew B/C last year FCO/TPE/SYD R/T, the A350 is wonderful and the B/C seats are excellent. Service is polite, food is OK as are the lounges. Wine needs to be asked for, not free flowing as with QR/EK/EY.

I'd give the whole experience an 8 out of 10.
