Blocking middle seats is to a large degree a PR stunt, you can't tell me those airlines that are blocking seats won't drop that policy like a hot potato once demand starts to ramp up. All QF are doing is saying they think the risk is low, they're being upfront about it, encouraging you to wear a ...

As economies open up, business travel will rebound far before leisure travel, at some point the AUST Govt won't want to be road locking a business recovery, and I'm sure QF will start agitating if QR and others are taking revenue, I suspect flights between USA and Australia will gradually ramp fr...

Singapore numbers have to be understood, their recent spike in numbers is related to migrant workers in hostel accommodation, mostly Bangladeshi construction workers who could probably not afford an air ticket to Malaysia let alone Australia. Singapore, like Australia has very low general communi...

@Daniell....completely agree. Despite all the bashing of AJ, in reality he made the tough decisions that Borghetti never made, and some have short memories that 10 years ago QF was a basket case, losing money, poor performing international routes and AJ got bashed when he cut them all back. He al...

There's no way Boeing will let them cancel MAX's to buy A320's......just no way it will happen, you might see less MAX's or MAX's replaced with new 787's or some mix like that, but no aircraft maker will give up what they already have without huge penalties. I would think if they cancel the A330'...

Not aware of a clear definition but I would assume it relates to “Permanent Residency” in a country other than Australia. I am Australian citizen and flew out of Sydney about 6 weeks ago to the US where I am Green Card Permanent Resident, even just showing the Green Card alone wasn't completely e...

People put a lot of crap on AJ but I think Qantas was in good shape going into this and will come out in good shape. Certainly would be crazy if they're not using this opportunity to “fine tune” the business and people. I think this will fastrack decline of the A380's and speed up more 787 and A3...

I just booked to Mumbai via Cathay Pacific (HKG) but not really any easy option with QF, other option that was quite reasonably priced was but longer was with Qatar Airways via Doha.

Clearly from recent news of new routes QF must be getting great returns on the 787, talk of A380’s shuffling to SIN, HK and HND seem to suggest they are trying to get better utilisation/return from them (aka they are too big). The big questions are the Sunrise long haul replacement, what ha...

I’m Green Card with AUST Passport, got Global Entry about 4 months ago, it is literally a game changer, through immigration on arrival to the US in less than 10 mins usually, and the TSA Precheck part gets you through domestic security easily, no removing shoes, belts, laptops, iPads, liqui...
