I don't disagree with any of the comments above, it's still too early to tell what the “post Covid” travel experience will be but one could also argue that if far greater point to point travel becomes the norm, and more people opt for space over cramped economy seating, the 777X could find itself...

@goRobin....agree completely, but you only have to read the various blogs across most media and the masses in Australia just dont get the complexity of this, so politically it's a winner decision for ScoMo. Many of us living overseas take the best of Australia onto the global stage in business an...

@fadz but it doesn't make any sense. Our cities can handle 100,000's of visitors for F1 Grand Prix, Grand Finals, AUST Open etc etc but it can't handle 6500 returning Australians...across all our capitals, just doesn't make sense. There has to be 000's hotel rooms in Melbourne right now completel...

Unfortunately some keyboard warriors here will never get it. In the middle of this pandemic I've had to sell my house in the US, get my stuff shipped back, get my girls out of school, new jobs, sell cars and everything I can't take back plus organise a dog shipment that can only go to Melbourne a...

Joke......no other country on this entire planet is stopping or restricting its own citizens from returning. You can't tell me any hotel in Melbourne is going to have any occupants during the next 6 weeks of lockdown. Move to user pays for quarantine if needed, but this plan seems like a politica...

Not aware of a clear definition but I would assume it relates to “Permanent Residency” in a country other than Australia. I am Australian citizen and flew out of Sydney about 6 weeks ago to the US where I am Green Card Permanent Resident, even just showing the Green Card alone wasn't completely e...

People put a lot of crap on AJ but I think Qantas was in good shape going into this and will come out in good shape. Certainly would be crazy if they're not using this opportunity to “fine tune” the business and people. I think this will fastrack decline of the A380's and speed up more 787 and A3...

I just booked to Mumbai via Cathay Pacific (HKG) but not really any easy option with QF, other option that was quite reasonably priced was but longer was with Qatar Airways via Doha.

Clearly from recent news of new routes QF must be getting great returns on the 787, talk of A380’s shuffling to SIN, HK and HND seem to suggest they are trying to get better utilisation/return from them (aka they are too big). The big questions are the Sunrise long haul replacement, what ha...
