Success in having a hotel issue a seperate booking confirmation alongside the Qantas Hotel confirmation.

Hi All,


I've been planning some holiday travel and I saw a decent rate for a stay at the intercontinental singapore through Qantas Hotels (I don't hold IHG loyalty). Despite the strange behaviour of the Qantas website of late I decided to roll the dice and place the booking. Unsurprisingly it promptly broke while processing the payment, but I have been issued with a confirmation email showing both a Qantas hotel and the intercontinental hotel booking confirmation numbers. My card was also charged.

I've not had trouble with Qantas hotel bookings in the past. But given the behaviour of the site I'm inclined to contact the hotel direct to confirm the booking exists and that it matches the description on the Qantas hotel booking (easy enough). I'm mainly keen to see if the hotel will also issue their own booking confirmation with the booking details seperate to the Qantas one to be on the safe side. Is this something anyone has had success with in the past with this, or any other hotel?

Yes, they should be able to do that - potentially stating that your booking was made via 3rd party website & that your rate is confidential.

Just though I’d check with other people to see if it was possible/set my expectations prior to emailing or phoning.

I booked a hotel through the qantas site a few months back.

It shows up on my Qantas Mobile App and has both the Qantas confirmation number and the Hotel Confirmation Number.
But the booking doesnt show up on the main Qantas site when i login to my account. Only on my phone which i thought was strange.

Perhaps check the Qantas App if you have it to see if that shows up for you

You can try the IHG website to see if the booking comes up there. Have a look at Manage Reservation in the centre of the homepage.

Of course, it may not work, but I have had success trying it with third party bookings before.
