online meal pre-ordering

When pre-ordering an international QF J meal online, how can I tell which, if any, are "online only" meals? These are the meals not available to order on the plane itself. Previous discussions have suggested that a picture appears when each meal is selected and some sort of graphic indicates if it is an online only meal - but no pictures are appearing when I go though the meal selections. Thanks for any advice.

What route is this on? It's worth pointing out that not all flights have "online exclusive" meals otherwise it could just be the Qantas website up to tricks again.

Yes, normally that's the case. I travelled recently MEL-SIN and did see 2 dishes that were not on the on board menu.

silvyvc, did you know prior to boarding that some of the online dishes were not available on board? If so, how?

For those routes with meals that are available online only it will say next to the meal wording to the effect of 'available online only' or 'online exclusive only'. It is quite clear.

can also vary
on previous trips there were "online exclusive", but last trip to Japan in May there was not, and on return trip, I could not select combo of small/main plate

QF website only seems to behave itself using Chrome as a browser

Interesting I find if I get an upgrade to J I am not allowed to access the pre-order function which is weird or maybe it’s to do with the whole website thing currently happening.
