No, Japan Airlines isn’t ‘renting’ pyjamas to business class flyers
Oct 04, 2023, 09:19 AMThey're also likely to be higher quality than those offered on the likes of QF given they will want them to be washed and used over again. Anyone who has taken QF PJs home knows that they only last a couple of cycles before they are stretched and thinned meaning they need to be binned anyways.

Lufthansa’s new first class features double beds
Mar 02, 2023, 09:21 AMLook good. Though surprised that no one has pointed out that the person in the right seat doesn’t have direct aisle access. More of a problem when in bed mode and having to climb across your partner. The way in which qf could really make their new first the pinnacle would be to have th...

Emirates: Build a new superjumbo, bigger than the A380
Aug 15, 2022, 08:29 AMHas the A380 ever been known as the 'Queen of the skies'? I had heard it being referred to as the 'king', but the 'queen' moniker should be reserved for the one true queen - the 747.

Best business class seats on the Qantas Boeing 787 seat map
May 05, 2022, 11:17 PMMy favourite seat is 1K. It is adjacent to window, window aligns with the seat in the upright position, has a larger foot well and the fact that you're opposite a wall / ahead of 2F means that I find the seat very private. Oh and also the little 'drawer' under the screen in front is good for keep...

Review: flying Sydney-Auckland with Qantas in the ‘travel bubble’
Apr 29, 2021, 03:03 PMDavid, I might suggest that the reference to utilisation of the complimentary lounge invitations for access to the first class lounge be changed for the time being as I do not believe they are currently being accepted. This was also communicated to me by the VIP Service Team when I queried the us...

QF LIFETIME PLAT
Oct 12, 2023, 04:10 PMOriginally Posted by crosscourt Maybe I'll decide to stop doing what I'm doing earlier so I'd have lifetime plat. My point was you weren't disadvantaged by COVID (as you stated) because you received SCs that counted towards your lifetime total during the COVID period. They also did a rollover of ...

QF LIFETIME PLAT
Oct 09, 2023, 04:13 PMOriginally Posted by crosscourt I am Plat1 and have in excess of 68000 status points towards lifetime platinum, so I am not that far off. I feel it should not be devalued by reducing the threshold but what I do feel is that many, like me, lost out during the pandemic years so maybe consideration ...

P1 Benefits: does the hype equal the reward?
Aug 15, 2022, 12:46 PMHaving been P1 for a few years now, the only benefits that I find to be actually beneficial are: 1) Access to the VIP Service Team (as noted by others), 2) Platinum for a friend 3) Upgrade requests - highest priority and ability to be notified at 7 days, 4) ability to book R1 / R4 seats 5) P1 lou...

DFW international to domestic transfer assistance
Oct 14, 2019, 05:05 PMHaving done the intl-dom connection numerous times this year, 90 mins is very tight. Don't forget they'll have to deplane, get through immigration, wait for luggage (this is generally pretty quick), drop bags, make it back through security and (most likely) transfer terminals. Assuming they're on...

“Minimum points guarantee” and Status Bonus
Aug 29, 2019, 08:24 AMThe 75% bonus is being applied but you don't see it because even with the bonus it's less than the minimum. The bonus is applied on the actual points earned based on distance. So in your example ADL-MEL attracts 399 points (based on distance) and a 75% bonus to that takes it to 698 points. Theref...
