Just did VA555 Sydney to Perth in J class.

I have travelled quite a bit with VA in J and always found it to be very good and just when I thought it couldn’t get much better it did.
From the moment I stepped on board the service was impeccable.
Their seat I reckon is right up there amongst the best, really comfortable and practical.
The food , wine and service could not be faulted , really extremely good and the IFE has been upgraded to a far better selection.
Our female F/A did one of the best services I have experienced and was so friendly.
Her service was as good as SQ and they are number 1 in my opinion.
No doubt about it, VA will always have me and my family as continuing customers .
Excellent!!

Flying to Perth in J on the a330 in a few weeks, can't wait. I think the seat is one of the most comfortable I've sat in.

If your flight is as good as mine was you will be very pleased indeed..Best seat for service is 2A 2K as they take your orders early .

I hope you enjoy , I certainly did.

Isn't it great that we have two very competitive airlines that want to try and provide a service which is not only better than many airlines international service, but is also by far the best domestic product in the world.

Yeah it's great when it feels like an international flight on a domestic sector

Have done the Perth route and the HK route many times on the 330s. The product is simply a delight. Six more of these trips this year and looking forward to each one.

I feel like some mistakes were made on my part. Could have gone instagold on VA with the DSC promo, but chose to take the QF DSC to maintain gold instead.

Finding QF hard product and service to be lacking lately.

Flew the A330 MEL - PER over the weekend with the family in J and would have to agree. It's an extremely good product and we had faultless, friendly service in both directions.

Recently did Syd to Hong Kong A330 going there was great , but the return flight had very poor food and very average Qantas like serive.I love the seats but they could do with some more storage for long haul.

I am Platinum with Virgin

Last year I moved from Gold with Singapore to Gold with Qantas, but recently flew back from Hong Kong in J with VA. Very impressive! I am back there in August and seriously thinking about using VA again as I have already qualified another year for gold with Qantas.

Incidentally, flew to HK from SG on the new Singapore Airlines A380 business class. Hard to split it from VA business, maybe SG just has the edge?

I love Virgin business class - the service and food is always fantastic. The A330 is up there with the best. Qantas doesn't come close IMHO. Virgin always feels like nothings an effort and I'm centre stage, Qantas I always feel like I'm being difficult (promise I'm not!)

Have to agree the class leading is def with VA, even when I can't get to the front of the plane on my Hong Kong- Melb/Syd trips and have to opt for X row I am treated as a VIP (I am Platinum) and receive VIP service each and every flight, nothing is an effort. Virgin def deserves the award for best cabin crew.

Just stepped off the A330 HKG a couple of days ago, both legs were almost perfect. Everything is so well thought of. I guess when you have a premium light config of only 19 J Pax, you can make each pax feel special and spend a couple mins with each pax at the start of the trip.

Only thing I wish they provided was slippers like SQ to get the Lav's and back and more amenities in the lav like paper cups... etc.

Economy X is also great for the way up to HKG on the daytime leg, just wish it was a couple hours longer to get a bit more sleep in J on the way back...
