Hi all, I have a weird itinerary that necessitates stay in Dubai. My flight out leaves at 4AM on the 10th of September, my hotel has a late check out of 6PM (on the 9th of September).

If I was to get to the airport like 8 hours early, would I be able to check in and use the first class lounge for dinner and a nap? On a first ticket, destination is Mauritius.

Thanks

Be careful of using the sleep rooms at Dubai lounges. There is a reputation of bags being looted while you're napping.

I would just book an extra night in hotel in Dubai.

Believe you can. Check this press release dated 28 June 2018.

https://www.emirates.com/media-centre/emirates-encourages-customers-to-arrive-early-to-airport-during-busy-summer-season-starting-tomorrow

"Customers can also check in online on both their desktops and mobile devices from 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure. In addition to these online check-in services, Emirates also offers check-in facilities near its car park area. Customers can use these to check in and drop off their luggage from 24 hours to six hours prior to departure."

I’m actually staying in Al Ain, so I’d have to take all my bags from Al Ain to a hotel in Dubai, check in, probably not have any sleep, then take them all back to the airport anyway (I’m never asleep before midnight). I might do it but if I can stay in the lounge with free food and drink and just a spot to nap for an hour or so I’ll be happy.

Fair enough. But if you have already explored Al-Ain, just check out at regular time and get to hotel in Dubai. IIRC there really is not much to do in Al-Ain (unless visiting family/friends). But as above, you seem to be able to check bags earlier.
