Qantas restarts in-town check-in at Hong Kong
Travellers can now save time and hassle by dropping off their luggage at these Hong Kong train stations.
Qantas passengers flying from Hong Kong back to Sydney or Melbourne can once again take advantage of the popular In-Town Check-In service at the city’s two Airport Express stations.
Yes, Qantas In-Town Check-In at Hong Kong has returned after an almost five-year absence, joining Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Airlines in offering this time- and hassle-saving service.
Passengers can head to dedicated counters at Hong Kong and Kowloon stations, check in for their flight and, more importantly, drop off any checked luggage.
Those bags will be sent ahead to your flight, allowing you the rest of the day to wander around Hong Kong and enjoy all this vibrant city has to offer, before making your own way to the airport.
However, if you’re already on your way to the airport, it still makes sense to swing by the In-Town Check-In counters and drop off your luggage.
That way you’re not burdened by it all the way to the airport, and of course there’s one less thing to do at the airport itself – so you can make your way through immigration and straight to the lounge.
Qantas In-Town Check-In will be available from Monday February 10, the airline confirms.
- Qantas In-town Check-in at Hong Kong station is open between 7am and 6pm daily
- Qantas In-town Check-in at Kowloon station is open between 7am and 3pm daily
Just make sure your luggage isn’t oversized: bags deposited at the In-Town Check-In counters shouldn’t be more than 145cm in length, 100cm wide and 85cm high, or weight more than 32kg.
