• Are there really people who fly business class but who aren't also travelling with a laptop or tablet to watch their own content, or to stream videos through an airline's wi-fi system? I don't know about you, but I always prefer to watch my own stuff anyway: if I'm part way through a season of so...

  • Is this comment satire? Perth already has 4 terminals, but for whatever reason, the airport itself doesn't seem to want the airlines to actually use them. Of course, that's when planes (and people) can even land over that way, which the WA government also doesn't seem to want most of the time.I r...

  • Nice that VA is back to normal in the sky, and the comments about the ground experience are spot on. Not having any sort of security fast-track for business/platinum/gold at VA's own home airport is just crazy poor. You'd think airlines and airports would want to encourage those high-spending hig...

I see the Amex and Citi cards as 'one or the other'. There's too much overlap with the benefits to justify paying for two, I think, and as far as benefits goes, Amex wins more broadly (and on points too: Citibank is crap).Citi gives you more places where you can transfer your points, but the earn...

  • Qantas further status extension

    Aug 12, 2020, 02:53 PM

It'll be a tough call for them, because extending people's status indefinitely when they're still not flying much (and still not bringing in much new revenue for the airline) is only going to increase costs (e.g. lounge use) further, without the usual amount of underlying revenue to support those...

  • The "rules" are there for everyone, and so they apply to you (and for good reason). You won't find a workaround for a holiday visit.
