Yeah I did this for an upcoming trip in July. FRA-LCY and LCY-ZRH. First time flying in and out of London City Airport. ~18000 each way. But yes, BA shorthaul is very disappointing, if my last flight from Cape Town- Johannesburg was anything to go by.

Just out of interest, why are the OP and a couple of others so against the Qantas Online Mall? It's often 2x, 3x or 4x your average earn on those particular store, plus you can double dip if you have a Qantas Premier card and it counts as Qantas spend. What's not to like?

On the subject of Havana, does anyone have any good hotel recommendations there? The Kempinski seems far and away the best, but with prices to match. Has anyone tried The Iberoparque or the Nacional?

Shouldn't be a problem. If they do ask at the US border, just be honest and say you have been using 2 passports for the reasons you described. I use an Iranian passport to get in and out of Iran, and the Australian passport everywhere else. Never had any issues.
