Any feedback on the economy legroom in 32 A&B on the QF A380? It's the first row in the little economy section upstairs at the back. Thanks!

Wife and I occupied 32J&K to Europe in July and same seats SIN-MEL a night ago. Good seats, with a good amount of leg room. Entertainment screen is in arm rest but that’s no big deal as far as I’m concerned.

I am always picking 32K (or A) to Singapore, LA or Dallas.

you get silence of upper deck, can stretch your legs on magazine pocket, have a side kind of glove box (like in old 747 up stair) and only one neighbour (when you have one...), economy upstairs configuration being 2+4+2, ECO cabin is very small so you don t feel the Cattle Class.
however, sometime ground can be cold if crew doesnt turn on heating floor.

Enjoy Upper Deck economy whilst it lasts.

Yes, it's a good spot.... while it lasts. Thanks.

Hi,

I really like these seats - though I pick 32K for some reason. (A+B would get you of the plane a few seconds earlier I presume.)

I'm short, (and can stand and stretch my legs without hitting my head in the overhead lockers when seated in 32K) so legroom is not much of an issue for me, but have had 6' plus people beside me who relish the leg room. With the space between the seats and bulkhead, there is room to step over the legs of a sleeping person without waking them, and no person in front to drop their seat back into your face! The side locker (seats A + K ) for laptops, blanket etc a huge bonus.

One thing to note, the lockers overhead on the sides are a little shallower than above the central row of seats, so if you have a larger carry-on, board as early as you can to claim this space if you need to.

Can you fully stretch your legs without hitting the bulkhead?

andredfb - I'm short - 5'2'' - so not the most reliable source, but long legged people in 32J seem to have found it comfortable. I don't think that they have their legs fully stretched, though the aisle leg can tuck through the doorway into premium economy. I have seen people with their legs (shoes off, sox on) resting up the bulkhead walls in the middle 4 seats, but not with the video screens up out of their slots.

jrfsp - I always take the window (32K) and last trip the guy behind me in 33K managed to stretch his legs under my seat all the way so that they were encroaching into my heel space. I didn't tilt my chair back for the whole LHR -> Syd flight, so it might have been impossible for him if I had done so. The 33 J+K seats back up with the crew take off/land seats, so they recline into a fixed shell. But the recline seems to be the same as the other seats from what I can tell.

Thanks, that's great to know. As a 6' tall person with long legs there's a chance it will make economy doable, and thanks for the heads-up on the overhead locker space.

My wife was actually in 33A SYD-LAX in May and said it was great because there was no one behind to swing off the seat when getting in and out. The only down side is the 79 cm pitch, but as she's only 163 cm it wasn't an issue. She also noted the meal service was lighting quick.

32A is my favourite economy seat on the A380. The storage compartment is great, cabin is relatively quiet and service is speedy and friendly because it's such a small cabin. I'm pretty short and can barely reach the bulkhead but I've had tall guys next to me who seem happy with their feet up on the wall.

I've done 33 a few times. The recline is not the best, but the quietness of the upper deck makes it heaps better
