Did Qantas just invite everybody to join the Chairman's Lounge?

A friend of mine went to the Chairman's Lounge as a guest. He's been to the First lounges in Syd and Melb and he said the Chairman's didn't impress him that much. Smaller than he anticipated. My question is has any of the readers been into the Chairman's and what was their impression? I didn't get the email either.

Yes, I've been in as a guest. The physical space isn't amazing/too different (the decor in Perth was green - has a bit of a old school mens club fee to it), but there is certainly a higher level of attention from the lounge staff. My drink was continually refreshed without me having to ask, the club sandwich & calamari were great and served to be at my seat. It was extremely quiet with only about 6 people in the lounge, although I'd expect it'd be much busier in SYD/MEL/BNE vs Perth. Good to see it & would love to be a member myself one day!

Is there a special place called the Chairman's Lounge?
I thought it was just a status, but shared the First Class lounge.
