Your first look at Qantas’ first class Aesop amenity kits
A first class partnership between the two iconic Australian brands takes flight.
Qantas’ first class passengers – and visitors to the airline’s first class lounges – are set to be spoilt by Aesop, with the airline choosing the luxury skincare brand as its exclusive partner.
An all-new Qantas Aesop first class amenity kit now features on the Qantas Airbus A380.
Supplied in a sturdy Aesop x Qantas branded zip case are the following travel-sized signature Aesop products:
- Aesop Resurrection Hand Balm
- Aesop Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Wash
- Aesop Cedar & Citrus Lip Salve
- Aesop toothpaste
- Aesop eau de parfum fragrance
Also included in each Inflight Essentials pack is a bamboo toothbrush, block-out eyeshade and 3M foam earplugs.
In addition, Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash and Balm have also appeared in the superjumbo’s first class bathrooms.
Aesop already offers a popular line of kits containing “travel-sized essentials” to suite different climates and skin types, and we don’t expect a single Qantas Aesop first class amenity kit will be left on the plane when passengers step off at their destination.
Aesop’s previous airline partnership with Cathay Pacific saw the brand contributing its natural skincare products to Cathay’s first class amenity kits from 2015 to 2019, as well as stocking bathrooms in its Hong Kong first class lounges.
It’s an unmistakeable signal that Qantas wants to add some seriously premium shine to the first class travel experience on board its Airbus A380 superjumbos, which currently fly from Sydney to Singapore, London, Los Angeles, Dallas Fort Worth and Johannesburg, as well as Melbourne-Los Angeles.
The A380s are the only aircraft to offer first class in the Flying Kangaroo’s fleet, although a dramatic upgrade will crown non-stop Airbus A350 flights from Sydney and Melbourne to London and New York beginning in mid-2027.
And with those globe-striding flights lasting from 18 to 20+ hours, the Aesop skincare products will certainly be put to the test by passengers in the six private first class roomettes.
But back in the here-and-now, Aesop products will also be showcased in the bathrooms and shower suites of the Qantas first class lounges.
Qantas currently uses LaGaia products on first class flights and in its day spa at the Sydney and Melbourne Qantas First Lounges.
There’s no word as yet on if Aesop will also take over those spas, which offer a range of complimentary 20-minute facial and massage treatments to passengers, although we expect this will be the case.
Despite now being owned by cosmetics giant L’Oréal since 2023, and before that by Brazil-based Natura & Co since 2012, Aesop remains one of Australia’s home-grown global success stories.

Definitely liking this, I always thought Aesop and Qantas would seem a logical 'premium Aussie brand' partnership. There's nothing Qantas can really do about the A380 First hard product, although it's still decent even if it can't compare with SQ or EK for example, but making the First experience better in every other way is a good move. Now let's follow this up with a bigger budget for First meals and drinks, even the multi-course degustation menu of the old days. The QF F meals lately are disappointingly 'try-hard'.

The 'long haul experts' seem to always omit two essentials in its premium amenity kits; mouthwash and deodorant. After 24 hrs travelling surely Qantas knows these are basic staples.

There's individual mouthwash and deodorant available in the First Class lavatory, along with razors and shaving cream and also feminine hygiene products.

Thank god they are updating the amenity kit. The current one is pretty poor. I hope they make changes to the business class one too.
I wish they would add a pen and tissues. I always find myself struggling to find a pen for the incoming passenger card. Tissues are always good to have.

Yes, sure but I feel deodorant and mouthwash should be in the kits individualised for both F and J pax, making the QF premium value proposition a more attractive one. Hand cream is in both lavs and kits which I'd say is less a priority for most. Currently catering and kits are two weak points in Qantas' premium offering.
