I booked a double status credit fare with Qantas, and changed the flight. I was awarded double status credits, but I told them when the flight was being changed that it was a double status credit promotion.
If it is the same flight details and is in the DSC use-by period it should be fine. I have changed dates with no issues. I probably wouldn’t change flight numbers thuogh
I'd dig out the relevant DSC promotion email from the time you booked and check what the dates covered by the promotion were, so you don't accidentally take it just outside the valid dates.
As Tthetraveller says - as long as your new flight date is within the original promotional travel dates, you will still get DSC. I moved my flighs that were for next week to last month, different timings etc and got double still.

Hi, wondering if anyone has had experience with changing flights that were booked during the promo period.
I have a freedom fare that I'd like to move to a few days later.
Will I lose the double status credits?

I've also changed flights booked via DSC programs but have been within the validity period AND other terms like on Qantas metal vs QF ticketed fare.

It seems that many of these answers relate to QF DSC promotions rather than VA. Might want to call VA rather than relying on the answers below...

I modified a VA flight outside the promotion period and the DSCs still came through. Same flight number as well.
