Singapore Airlines is putting its Airbus A380 back into the skies between Sydney and Singapore from Friday December 10, albeit on a limited basis.
One of the two daily flights between Singapore and Sydney will take place on the superjumbo. This will be the SQ231 and SQ222 services, which depart Singapore at 12.35am and Sydney at 12.40pm, respectively.
The other daily service (SQ221 and SQ212), along with flights between Melbourne and Singapore, will continue to use either a Boeing 747-400 or Boeing 777 through to December 16.
As of December 17, SIngapore Airlines expects to have all its A380s back in full service between Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.
The return of Singapore Airlines' A380 flights comes as Qantas appears to have scheduled its own superjumbos to recommence operations between Sydney and Los Angeles from Tuesday January 18, 2011.
