Jetstar launches Boeing 787 flights for Sydney, Brisbane

Jetstar will begin Boeing 787 flights from Sydney and Brisbane next year as the low-cost airline launches new international routes under the Dreamliner's long curved wing.

From January 15th 2014 Jetstar's Boeing 787 will begin daily flights between Sydney and Bali, with a Sydney-Phuket service (running three times per week) starting on February 3rd.

Brisbane will see the Boeing 787 from April 16th, with a new direct flight between Brisbane and Bali operating four days each week.

Seats for all three flights are now on sale.

The new flights will take advantage of Jetstar's growing Boeing 787 fleet, which saw a second Dreamliner delivered over the weekend with two more due early next year.

Jetstar's first Boeing 787 begins international service on the Melbourne-Bali route today, for the summer period, after a month-long series of domestic flights between its Melbourne base and the Gold Coast and Cairns.

Jetstar will also begin a trans-Tasman 787 service next year, although the Melbourne-Auckland flights will run for just one month, from February 26 to March 28, 2014.
