Qantas adds extra daily flights between Canberra and Adelaide

Qantas is adding an extra return flight on the Canberra-Adelaide route five days a week from this October.
That's a total of an extra 1076 seats, but there won't be any business class -- the new flights will use a QantasLink Bombardier Q400 turboprop propeller-driven plane, which only has economy on board.
The schedule is a middle-of-the-day addition, which is most likely to attract business travellers on flexible schedules or those who are leaving Adelaide in the early afternoon after a morning meeting.
Starting 29 October, QF2091 will leave Canberra at 1105, arriving in Adelaide at 1235. Return flight 2092 departs Adelaide half an hour later at 1305, getting into Canberra at 1535.
Passengers on the Melbourne-Canberra route will also have extra seats available when QantasLink replaces a smaller Q300 plane on one of the Red Roo's daily return flights.

I think I'd rather change in SYD/MEL or alter my schedule to get a jet than spend 2 hours on a Q400.
I've had 2 hour flights on a Q400 in the past and they're just exhausting.

Excuse me for living in the past but this in some cases is like a trip back in time to before the 727 later DC9 came along in the sixties when it was the Electra that dominated Australian Skies..You can thank the late Reg Ansett for that one...The TAA Guys if they had their way in the fifties would have got Sud Caravelles.The Difference though it's two engines props doing what used to take the job of four.
